Effects of different feed components and the treatment of the litter on the ammonia emission of equine urine

The main goal of our research was to study the effects different feed components and treatment litter on NH3 emission equine urine. Four adult horses were used in experiment. basic diet consisted 1500 g mashed oat, fed twice a day (morning evening), ad libitum hay. During night kept separately concrete floor boxes, wheat straw. whole divided into 3 periods. In first period experiment treated with probiotic supplement for two days evenings. second 8 supplemented 40 ml added oat. Before third their regular weeks. After that oat changed high-protein-value horse 12 days. At end periods, again. Urine contaminated straw samples collected after each before treatments from places morning daily littering. From samples, dry matter content measured. Statistical analysis carried out linear modelling. According results, both decreased urine significantly (p<0.05). However, only slightly influenced by treatment. Only case could decrease be detected, but result not significant. There no difference samples. Based we can conclude applied useful horses. two-days however seems too short gain any positive effects.
